
With over a decade in public relations, Crystal has a diverse background in information technology, consumer technology and hospitality markets. In addition to managing account teams, Crystal lends superb writing and media skills to her PerkettPR clients across industries – including SaaS, social media, email marketing, online advertising, eLearning, fashion and more – and supports technology, corporate and competitive positioning for each in their respective markets.
Before joining Perkett, Crystal worked for CM Communications where she drove local and national print, web and broadcast media coverage in outlets including the Boston Globe, The Robb Report, and The Travel Channel for her diverse client base of hotels, restaurants, consumer trade show producers and real estate developers.
Crystal began her career in PR at a small computer games start-up where she wrote marketing materials, supported trade shows and placed articles in major gaming media such as PC Gamer, Game Developer and MacWorld. Shortly after, she joined Weber-Shandwick in the midst of the dot-com boom, where she honed her skills in emerging technology PR. Securing key placements in numerous targeted trade publications, she also wrote press releases and press kit collateral for her clients. Additionally, Crystal managed speaking programs and analyst relations activities - garnering inclusion in market reports by firms such as Gartner and IDC.
Crystal has also worked in corporate PR at Keane, Inc., a leading provider of information technology services in Boston. There she managed all media and analyst relations, wrote press-releases and worked with the internal sales team to develop a client reference process to support marketing and PR campaigns. Later, at leading software reseller, Software Spectrum, Crystal continued to leverage the client referral program, which she successfully utilized to gain media exposure in such key publications as CRN and USA Today.
Crystal received a BS in English from Radford University in Radford, VA.
She is based in Boston.
