PERKETT PR WINS
PITCH FOR NCIPHER
PerkettPR has won a six-figure account to handle North American PR for London-based nCipher, an Internet security systems developer. nCipher has used Hill and Knowlton's Blanc & Otus unit, Text 100 and Schwartz Comms. in the past.
Chris Perkett, president of the Marshfield, Mass.-based technology PR firm, told this website that 18 other firms pitched.
Account director Michelle Chase will head the account.
nCipher creates software and hardware to secure transactions over the ‘Net. Its clients range from Microsoft's Hotmail and AT&T, to the U.S. Department of Defense and the Navy.
nCipher has U.S. offices in Boston, New York and San Francisco, along with Cambridge, Dublin, Paris and Hamburg.
